DEACON CLIVE BROOKS R.I.P.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Clive. Clive went peacefully home to God on Wednesday evening, surrounded by family and fortified by the sacraments of the Church. Please pray for the repose of his soul and continue to keep Clive’s family in your prayers.
Funeral arrangements will be made known in due course.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE this year will be on 26th November 2022 9.30am - 12 noon. More on this in the 'Events' page.

PART TIME CLEANER Fr Luke is also looking for a part time cleaner for the Presbytery. Speak to Fr Luke.

SENIORS TEA will now be on the first Thursday of each month. Next is on Thursday 3rd November in the Church Hall from 2pm until 4pm. Come and join us for a cup of tea, cake and a chat.

October 1st/2nd 2022 we welcome Fr Luke Goymour to St Mark's. Fr Luke joins us from St Thomas of Canterbury at Brandon and Mildenhall. In addition to his duties as Parish Priest for St Mark's, Ipswich and Holy Family, Brantham he will also have canonical oversight of St Mary Magdalen's Norwich Road, Ipswich. He is also Chaplain to The Diocesan Youth Service.

REVIVING A 500-YEAR-OLD PILGRIMAGE
On 9th April 2022, and for the first time in nearly 500 years, a group of Parishioners from Capel St Mary join with all other Christian denominations in the village on a nine-mile pilgrimage to a statue of Our Lady of Grace at St Mary Elms, Ipswich.


Tea and Coffee after Mass has resumed at both St Mark's and Holy Family, join us for a refreshing cup and a chat after Sunday Mass.

GROTTO INAUGURATION took place on the 8th of September at 6pm in the Garden. Fr John Williamson OCD from Gerrard’s Cross celebrated holy Mass and the inauguration of the grotto.
Thanks to all those who donated towards the expenses of the grotto. All are welcome to sponsor in every little way you can.

MASS BY PHONE AND RADIO Mass by phone is available 24/7 by dialling 01642 130120 thanks to the Diocese of Middlesbrough and Knights of St Columba.
Calls are charged at local rates and may be free if included in your phone contract's minutes. It may be of use to those who don't have the internet. Another resource is RTE1 which broadcasts Mass on 252kHz long wave every second Sunday at 11am.
